How to use

Remove the cap from the bottle. To do this, pull the cap away from the bottle with a rotary movement.

Hold the bottle upside down with your thumb placed on the shoulder of the bottle and your other fingers on the bottom.

Support the hand holding the bottle with your free hand. (Diagrams are shown in the patient information leaflet to demonstrate).

Lean your head back slightly and using two fingers, gently pull down on your lower eyelid and apply a quick and strong pressure on the middle of the bottom of the bottle. This action will release one drop. Once applied, slowly close your eyes to allow the fluid to spread evenly on the eye surface.

Hycosan Extra has been formulated with 0.2% Hyaluronic Acid. It has four times more viscous than Hycosan. This increase in viscosity, which allows a subsequent increase in duration of action, makes Hycosan Extra ideal for more severe cases of Dry Eye.

Contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in many organs of the human body including the eye. Its unique property is that it forms a regular, stable and long lasting, lubricating and moisturising film on the eye surface that is not easily rinsed off. This so-called bioadhesive property ensures that the cornea and conjunctiva are protected and together with the physiologic tears the eye lid moves easily over the surface of the eye.
